The weather lately has been nice. It does not feel like Christmas is only 6 days away, by any means - but its always nice to do a shoot in 60 degree weather compared to working it out in the 30's. Sunday we had perfect weather for a family shoot, in the mid 50's, slightly overcast & not a tad bit windy. The Stenslie's were my last shoot in 2008 & we had a total blast trekking around my parents property. I do have to dote on them for a second though because they have the most well behaved children I have ever seen. Thanks for being so wonderful!!
Without further ado, meet the Stenslie family, Joel, Kathy, Noah, Jonas & Siri.

Katherine goes with me on almost every single shoot I do. She is my psuedo assitant. She has picked flowers for crying babies when there aren't any flowers in site, she has held doggie treats for hours on end. In the below photo I said "Hey Rita, sit here for a second!" and this is what happens.
She makes me sick. lol.

The new blog has finally launched. We're still trying to work the kinks out so bare with us.
Here is a photo, seeing as this is a photo blog...

When I originally set up Laurie's shoot I knew we were going to shoot outdoors. What I didn't realize was how gorgeous the trees were going to be. Every year Georgia's fall landscape takes my breath away. This year though, it was even more beautiful when a bubbly, outgoing 15 year old was a part of it. Laurie is the younger sister of the infamous Katherine Webb. This shoot was even more special being that it was done in celebration of Laurie FINALLY getting her braces off. (Notice the huge grins.)
Laurie, you were a total blast to work with. Your vivacios spirit & spunky personailty are conveyed in your fun loving photos. I can't wait to get your entire family in front of my camera. :)

Blogging
I am a terrible blog poster. I made plans (I even put it on my calendar at work with a reminder!) to hash out the issues I have been having w/ photoshop & get the rest of the Curry Family photos up, but...I got side tracked. Four hours worth of sidetracked actually. It all started at 9:15am yesterday morning when I braved the 40 degree weather (which is cold, way past freezing actually, for a true southerner) with 20 mph wind to vote for our future president. I decided to make the trek to the library thinking it would be much quicker than standing in line for an hour on Tuesday morning to vote with every other person in Columbus. Boy was I wrong. I waited in 3 different lines for over 2 1/2 hours standing in front of a man who was silent maybe 3 minutes of the 2 1/2 hour wait. There were a couple of times where I thought that if he didn't hush, i was going to "accidentally" step on his toes. Hard.
All that to say, while standing in line in the fiction section I noticed "Gone with the Wind" on DVD & decided to grab it. I just finished reading the book (along w/ the sequel "Scarlett") & had been dying to watch it. So I did.
Which is why I am here now...without pictures to post.
Look for some new photos tomorrow though!
ps - Check out what one of my clients brought up to the office for me. Some nifty new sunglasses for the hubby. :) Go dawgs!

I am having the hardest time w/ sizing & my blog. My photoshop just doesn't want to work with me. I will be loading the rest of the Curry familiy photos this weekend when i don't think i might throw my computer out of the window. :)

Bonnie & Mike E-Session
Okay, so I have about 25 favorites from this shoot. I guess it totally helps as a photographer to have a gorgeous best friend with an equally handsome fiance. Bonnie & Mike should look familiar to all of my regular blog readers. They had a shoot about 4 months ago in a corn field. (Which are also some of my favorite photos.) They are now happily engaged & planning a wedding in Hawaii that I will be shooting sometime in 2009. (Set a date already!) Bonnie & Mike have such a sweet chemistry between them that not only makes them wonderful friends but a total blast to shoot. Unfortunately I have not edited my very favorite photo from the shoot yet, you'll have to wait to see it. It's of Mike all by himself. The look on his face is absolutely priceless. I believe that photo will also explain why we placed Bonnie's ring in the below teaser on a cactus. So keep a look out!
Bonnie & Mike, thanks for such an awesome shoot. You guys are total rockstars!
Check it out, I'm in a photo.
Anybody want to buy me a membership to the tanning bed?
